Facebook has just announced that it plans to buy out crowd favorite messaging app Whats App for $16B plus around $3B in stock for WhatsApp employees. According to WhatsApp, the company will continue to operate independently. While there's no word on whether the two companies will share data, but the messaging app should function as normal for the foreseeable future. Read more here.
